A brief history of the Chicago & North Western Peninsula Division line:

06/16/22

This through truss bridge is alike a couple other in the region. Nationally, the Quadrangular Through Truss is rather uncommon. However, the design was popular in the upper midwest due to the Chicago & North Western as well as the Rock Island.
This bridge is identical to the Daggett Rail Bridge and the Stephenson Rail Bridge.
The bridge contains heavily riveted connections, and a large A-Frame portal. These distinct features are common of later editions of this design (ca. 1915).
The bridge rests on massive concrete substructures, and has a missing Wisconsin Bridge & Iron Company plate.

The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the truss design.
The photo above is an overview looking west along the bridge.
